My poem is about the paleoindians. I wrote this poem from the perspective of one of the members
of this group of people that first came to America. This event is very important because the paleoindians
were the first people who came into this territory in the time of the ice age. They arrived searching for
food and they found different types of things like animals and vegetation.
"Paleoindian Time"
In the darkness of a deep cave
Humans gather around being brave.
Just another creature in the giant world.
Torches and sticks gave the light
Stone, gray and powerful
Changed into useful tools like
They were in a fight.
Done by the hand of man.
Elk, Mammoth, Horses
They were hunted to extinction
Berries flowered in thick bushes
There, waiting to be gathered
But some berries had the curse of poison.
Large groups were formed
Obligated to walk the earth
People were going to fall
Forever forced to move
In the necessity of search for food
The humans change the earth and this prove.
Without organization
