The event I chose for my poem is the Bogotazo. The Bogotazo is a day were the Liberals party 

took Bogotá in sign of protest because of the bad government in Colombia.

 

"Voices of freedom"

Bogotazo was the way that we could express

Our voices were heard like the loud sound of the Vesuvius in Pompeii.

If Jorge Eliecer Gaitan wasn't dead he would say 

"That if we live together we can succeed. "

That day our minds opened to new ideas and thoughts like the big doors of Spain

Why does something really bad like the murder of someone need to happen to us so that we can raise 

our voices and ask for our rights? 

Why does a civil war needs to occur so that we can become friends?

Why the chapels and the Nariño house need to be destroyed so that the minority's were heard? 

We need to think in our actions and on how  we treat everybody.
