The event I chose for my poem was the death of Pablo Escobar. The poem is from Pablo 

Escobar's perspective. This event is really important in Colombian history because Pablo was the most 

recognized drug dealer in all Colombia, he was being searched by all the Colombian soldiers, and 

some U.S.A. soldiers too. I used a terza rima poetic form. 

 

"The Big Death"

My name is Pablo Escobar

I am the most important drug dealer in Colombia

All the Colombian soldiers look for me

Today I am in my moms birthday

But I think that this will be a bad day

All of this will have to be

All the soldiers surrounded the building

I didn't know until I heard people screaming

I climbed the roof, running from the police

I felt something cold come inside me 

It was the bullet of a soldier's gun

This was the end of my whole life
